Hamptons White Party Dress Code

There are so many parties to attend and so many different dress codes out there. One of the trendiest of party themes for the summer on Long Island is the “Hamptons White Party.” It is popular in the summer, probably because everyone is so tan and sun kissed that white radiates the guests’ beauty! White parties have grown in popularity starting with the celebrities and socialites and transcending to the regular folks.

The Look

When you’re invited to a White Party, you are expected to show up with your entire ensemble ready to glow. Your attire should be stark white in color, or perhaps a light cream may work. To get the White Party look rather easily, you can piece together many different clothing articles.  A good trick when wearing all one color is to mix and match the materials to show some contrast. For example, if you are wearing a lycra pencil skirt, pair it with a lace cropped top. Sundress, pants suits and rompers are all popular choices for women’s White Party attire. Men typically wear white pants, linen or cotton, lightweight white button down tops or even go casual in white tees and tanks. You will really make your outfit pop by appropriately accessorizing.  According to theflywire.com the stylists recommend wearing shoes that are neutral in color: nude, tan, bronze, gold, pewter and sometimes black. Search your closet, search the stores, you will find some variation that is acceptable to wear to the party.
